Boots Allen ties up his Booty Call Minnow. It's a great multipurpose streamer that Boots has used on a myriad of western rivers. It's a pretty simple cone head, large streamer pattern.
Boots has been a fly tier, guide, and author for decades in Idaho and Wyoming. He grew up on these rivers and has a tremendous amount of knowledge about salt water patterns as well.
RECIPE:
Booty’s Booty Call Minnow (Purple)
Hook: Mustad S74SNP-DT or equivalent, #6 to #2
Cone: Gold, silver, or black Tungsten, size to match hook
Thread: 3/0 or 210 denier in black or purple
Tail: Purple marabou
Lateral Line, Tail: Purple or pearl Flashabou, one strand on each side to create two total strands on each side.
Body: UV Polar Chenille or Senyo’s Laser Dub, purple
Ribbing: Small UTC Ultra Wire, gold
Lateral Line, Body: Purple or pearl Flashabou, two strands on each side to create two total strands on each side.
Veil: Crosscut rabbit fur, purple
Collar: Senyo’s Laser Dub, purple
